What's the ongoing cost after setup? +
AWS free tier covers 750 hours of EC2 per month for 12 months — your server runs at zero cost for the first year. After that, a t2.micro instance typically costs £8–£12/month. You'll also need an API key for the AI model, roughly £5–£20/month depending on usage. That's it.
Do I need any technical knowledge? +
None. We handle everything — server provisioning, software installation, API configuration, and Slack setup. You'll need an AWS account (free to create), a Slack workspace, and a Google cloud account. That's your total contribution to the technical side.
Is my business data safe? +
Yes. Your Clawdbot runs on a dedicated server registered to your AWS account. We don't retain access once setup is complete. Slack and Google connect via OAuth — no passwords are stored. Your data is processed on your own machine and is never used to train public AI models.
What if I need more automations added later? +
We offer ongoing development at a day rate for businesses wanting to expand Clawdbot's capabilities — additional integrations, n8n workflow connections, bespoke automations. We can connect Clawdbot into your wider ecommerce stack as your needs grow.
How is this different from just using ChatGPT? +
ChatGPT is a browser tab. OpenClaw is embedded into your team's workflow via Slack, connected to your live data in Google Sheets, and running on your own private server. It's the difference between a calculator and someone who already knows your numbers.
How quickly can we get started? +
