THE PROJECT

Decom Engineering provide subsea mooring chain cutting services to major oil and gas operators including Shell. Their work demands precision, reliability and trust. Their website reflected none of that.
The existing site was built on Divi and hosted on shared infrastructure.

It was slow, visually dated, and technically weak. A PageSpeed score of 30 on mobile meant potential clients were landing on a sluggish site that said nothing about the calibre of the operation behind it.

THE STORY

Decom Engineering had already designed a new site using V0. They had a clear visual direction, they just needed someone to make it real and get it live without losing anything in the process.

We set up a headless WordPress installation on a dedicated VPS, using WordPress purely as a content management layer while the V0-built frontend handled everything the visitor sees. This separation is what drives the performance, no Divi bloat, no unnecessary plugin overhead, no shared hosting bottlenecks.
We handled the full migration. Content was moved across cleanly, redirects were managed to protect any existing search visibility, and the new infrastructure was configured for stability and speed before go-live.

The result speaks for itself. Mobile PageSpeed went from 30 to 99. Best Practices and SEO both hit 100. The site now matches the standard of the work Decom Engineering actually delivers.
