B2B Ecommerce Development
Commerce Growing Pains
When an eCommerce business scales fast, the team has to grow alongside it. On the customer side, your staff are taking an increased number of phone calls, custom price quotes, emails, disputes, and payment chasing.
Over on the B2B side, you could be managing couriers, stock allocation, and manual data entry across disconnected systems.
We build end-to-end B2B solutions that solve both sides: modern self-service portals for your trade buyers, and direct integrations into your back-office systems so your team can focus on growth instead of admin.
B2B Development
That Pays
For Itself
A B2B build isn't just a storefront with a login screen. Here's what a poorly built trade system costs you, and what a properly connected one fixes.
Your current ordering process might already be costing you margin. We offer a free B2B audit, no obligation, just an honest look at what's manual that shouldn't be.

Not out of the Box
Very few eCommerce businesses are identical. They all have their own ways of doing things. In one business orders with suppliers may be placed via email, with others it could be over the phone, others may not do any of this and have ordering automated with minimum stock levels and order automation.
Every business we work with, we get to understand your processes and advise on how to cut inefficiency out of the system, once agreed we will build a new system for you, we just don’t advise here at Frankenstein Digital, we do.
Connect Any Platform & ERP
Manual order entry costs companies time and accuracy. We build direct integrations between your storefront and the systems running your operations:
- ERP & Accounting — Seamless connections to SAP, NetSuite, Sage, Xero, and custom accounting packages.
- Warehouse & Logistics — Automated order routing to 3PLs, local couriers, and stock management tools.
- Custom Middleware — Custom APIs connecting your store directly to bespoke manufacturing, print, or embroidery systems.
Which Platform Fits Your Requirements?
We develop for any platform, though the most common platforms in eCommerce are Shopify, Magento (Adobe Commerce) and new modern headless setups.
We will work on your existing platform or help you migrate to a new eCommerce platform.
If your requirements sit mostly in the Shopify column, Shopify B2B is fast and practical. If you need complex custom logic and enterprise catalogue structures, Magento is often a preferred choice for large organisations.
If your requirements go beyond what either platform offers natively, or you need a fully custom frontend, headless gives you total control of both the front and back end.
| Requirement | Shopify B2B (Plus) | Magento (Adobe Commerce) | Headless |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best For | DTC brands adding a trade channel; rapid setup | Complex enterprise setups, custom pricing logic | Fully custom builds, unique UX or multi-frontend needs |
| B2B Features | Native company profiles, net terms, price lists | Advanced native catalogue rules, complex quoting | Built to spec, whatever the backend/ERP supports |
| Customisation | Fast app ecosystem and modern APIs | Deep open-source control and custom module builds | Total control, frontend fully decoupled from backend |
| Build Timeline | Faster deployment, lower maintenance overhead | Longer build cycle for highly tailored architecture | Longest build cycle, highest long-term flexibility |
Attackers and Defenders
One concept we have at Frankenstein Digital is attackers versus defenders.
Imagine your office staff as a football team:
The Attackers are the people driving growth, sales, marketing, product development, and client relationships.
The Defenders are the people keeping operations running, entering manual orders, sending emails, chasing payments, and managing internal admin.
B2B eCommerce development automates the heavy lifting for the defending team. Orders can come directly to your ERP and production systems without any manual entry. By getting the foundations right in defence, you free up space to invest in attackers.
Proven B2B Capability
Here are some examples of our work, from custom B2B storefronts on Shopify to full stock systems and manufacturing integrations.
B2B Order Portal
A trade ordering portal built directly on Shopify's native B2B tooling, giving account customers their own login, pricing and catalogue without a bolted-on workaround.

Supplier Stock System
Built for a school uniform business, this system lets suppliers order in bulk, manage their own stock levels, and syncs straight through to Shopify sales, no manual updates between systems.

Connected Manufacturing System
Built for a bed manufacturer, this system takes orders placed in-store or online and drops them straight onto the factory floor as a live job, no re-entry, no paperwork. Each production operator works from their own touchscreen station, moving jobs through stages like cutting, springs and bagging in real time. Managers get a live overview of the entire production schedule, seeing exactly what's running, what's overdue, and who's working on what, as it happens.
